Kids Around Dogs® – Terms and Conditions
By placing a booking with any of the Kids Around Dogs® (KAD) services, or one of its Approved Professionals, you are deemed to have read, understood and accepted our terms and conditions. Completion of the booking process and acceptance of our terms and conditions form your contract with KAD.
All training techniques used by KAD are kind, fair and reward based. Classes, workshops and private lessons are designed to be fun and rewarding for both dog and children but in the interest of safety, responsibility and welfare it is important that the following terms and conditions are noted.
1. Harsh handling is not permitted in class and is strongly discouraged at any other time. All Kids Around Dogs® Approved Professionals are run their sessions in accordance with their Code of Practice. As such; choke chains, check chains, prong collars, punitive methods and manhandling are not allowed.
2. KAD does not restrict the number of family members that are allowed to attend the Protocol sessions
3. A parent or guardian has to be present during all the sessions the children will have with your KAD Approved Professional.
4. We make every effort to ensure the safety of both clients and dogs during the classes. By making a booking, you are accepting that participating in an activity with dogs, children and adults poses a risk of injury to yourself and your dog, and you agree to indemnify Kids Around Dogs® and your KAD Approved Professional for all personal injury and damage to property owned by you while attending the training classes. You also agree to make any person who accompanies you to the class aware that they are also there at their own risk.
5. Payment of the fee for your session is to be made at the time of placing a booking. Failure to make payment within 24 hours will result in the booking being cancelled.
When booking the sessions with your KAD Approved Professional, the payment is non-refundable.6. Refunds cannot be given after a course has started.
7. Refunds may be given only if a 7-day notice is given in writing. There are no exceptions. Failure to notify us of a cancellation within this time frame will result in no refund.
8. There will be no partial refunds for missed classes or sessions.
9. If a class has to be cancelled due to extraordinary circumstances beyond our control, a refund will not automatically be given but every effort will be made to rearrange a replacement class on an alternative day.
10. All other cancellation and refund requests are at the discretion of your KAD Approved Professional and dependent on individual circumstances.
11. The information on your booking form will only be used as a record of you and your dog/s, and to contact you in relation to the session activities and will not be passed on to any third parties.
12. We occasionally send out an email newsletter, which we encourage you to opt in to receive to find out about upcoming events or news. If you do not wish to receive it, please unsubscribe from the newsletter by sending an email to: kidsarounddogs@gmail.com
13. By agreeing to the Terms and Conditions, you give Kids Around Dogs® permission to publish in print, electronic, or video format the likeness or image of you and/or your children and/or your dogs. You release all claims against Kids Around Dogs® with respect to privacy rights, publicity rights, copyright ownership and publication, including any claim for compensation related to the use of the materials.
